As a certified NLP practitioner in the field of behavior modification, I invite you to erase that addictive behavior once and for all—right now. Of course, if you’re dealing with something serious, always seek professional guidance.
Let’s work on that habit that feels uncontrollable—the one that pulls you in, even when you know better. Maybe it’s craving sweets, overeating, biting your nails, or drinking sodas.
Whatever it is, let’s shift it—right here, right now.
Step 1: Choose a Comfortable and Quiet Space
Find a peaceful and secure place where you can relax without distractions.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Now, visualize yourself engaging in your compulsion.
Observe the details of this image in your mind.
- Where does the image appear in your mind? In front of you, to the left or to the right?
- How big is it?
- Is it color or black and white?
- How close is it to you?
Step 2: Shift and Expand It
Now, move that image closer—3 inches closer to you.
➡ Make it bigger. Let the details sharpen. Feel it intensify.
How do you feel now?
➡ Now, pull it even closer—2 more inches.
➡ Expand it even more.
Notice what happens inside you.
As the image approaches you, sense it expanding—growing larger, sharper, and more intense. It looms right before you, overwhelming your space and impossible to ignore.
Until…
Step 3: The Blowout
And then…
SUUUISH—BLOW IT OUT!

Like a flash of lightning disappearing in the sky.
Like a balloon popping into nothingness.
Like a movie screen fading to black.
It’s gone. Out of your mind. Out of your sight. Out of your life.
Step 4: Reclaim Your Power
How do you feel now?
Lighter? Clearer? More in control?
Repeat this process as often as needed until that compulsion no longer owns you.
And from this moment forward, you are free and in control.
